Monster Crew to wciągająca i bardzo nietypowa platformówka. Kierujemy w niej bohaterem, który przeszukuje ogromny zamek w poszukiwaniu zagubionych kart, które na każdym etapie będą mogły wspomóc nas innym bonusem, np. odnowieniem życia czy zwiększeniem ilości pieniędzy. Po drodze będziemy zbierać pieniądze, specjalne przedmioty oraz punkty energii, a podczas niebezpiecznej wyprawy będziemy musieli uważać na czające się wszędzie pająki, duchy i inne niebezpieczeństwa. Nietypowość tej platformówki polega na poruszaniu się bohatera – nie mamy wpływu na szybkość lub kierunek jego ruchu, możemy jedynie skakać.
