John Woo to jeden z najbardziej znanych, chińskich reżyserów kina akcji, w dorobku którego znajdziemy takie hollywoodzkie hity, jak Mission Impossible II, Bez twarzy czy Nieuchwytny Cel. Tym razem postanowił on jednak spróbować swoich sił w zupełnie nowej dla siebie dziedzinie, jaką jest projektowanie gier na urządzenia mobilne.
Efektem jest Bloodstroke, dynamiczna gra akcji z bardzo oryginalną oprawą wizualną. Wcielamy się w niej w Mai Lee, mistrzynię wschodnich sztuk walki, która właśnie rozpoczęła pracę w prywatnej firmie ochroniarskiej.
