Tekken Card Tournament to karcianka oparta na zabawie w papier, kamień i nożyce. Naprzeciwko siebie staje dwóch wojowników, a my wybieramy jedną z czynności - Focus (dolosowanie karty na stół), Strike (uderzenie z wykorzystaniem kart na stole) oraz Block (blokuje dwie pierwsze karty przeciwnika). Na stół wyłożyć możemy do pięciu kart - odpowiadają różnym ciosom danej postaci z Tekkena i kroją pasek zdrowia, a niekiedy posiadają też dodatkowe funkcje, jak przywrócenie energii.
Pojedynki to zatem zgadywanie, co zrobi przeciwnik. Im więcej kart na stole, tym większą może uczynić nam krzywdę - gdy ma do dyspozycji 5 kart, to nawet blok nas nie uratuje przed solidnymi cięgami. Każda z 8 postaci (Kazuya, Paul, Law, Panda, Yoshimitsu, Xiaoyu, Nina, Lili) ma nieco inne parametry i inną talię kart. Grać można z komputerem lub po sieci, co jakiś czas pojawiają się też turnieje. Po osiągnięciu 12. poziomu można założyć własną drużynę.
